This is about a ten mile hike round trip if you do the whole thing, but we just hiked to the private cabin which is about 2 miles and then returned the way we came. It is an almost straight path, well groomed, then you end up at a cabin next to a lake that looks like somebody uses it to chop up promiscuous teenagers wearing a hockey mask.

It is level ground the whole way so it makes for easy trekking. Bikes are allowed and a few passed us on the way. There is water on both sides of the trail most of the way, presenting quite a few opportunities for good views of cypress trees, bromeliads, native birds and so forth. You definitely need to take your time on this one, pause and scan the landscapes to the sides to really take in the fauna.

I peeped through a crack in the dirty windows of this thing fully expecting to see dismembered corpses hanging from meat hooks, but all I could make out was what appeared to be a grill.
